Beautiful and inspirational! None of the people on board imagined that they would never make it to America. Truly we never know when we will be called home. I imagine that there would have been quite a few devils waiting to claim the souls of those who were unrighteous. When we come into this world, the only thing that is certain is that we must one day leave it. Some have long lives. Others pass away during or shortly after birth. It is not how long we live, but how we live that matters. Our mortal lives are but a blink of an eye in the face of eternity. Our life here below will seem as nothing compared to the endless ages that lie ahead. How we live it is entirely in our hands. We have been made free agents and can choose what courses of action we take, though not the consequences of those actions.
