Sounds from the basement, a bump in the dark
Down the stairs he dashes to the basement pitch and stark
Light switch not working, pull the chain on the light
Reflection in the mirror shows the true face of his soul
Be it crimes against humanity or business deals shaded
All obscurities emerge when he reaches those final gates
But do not fret he can amend the darkness and despair
No matter how far he strays our savior will be there
Creating images that inspire insightful dialogue among viewers is my objective. A drawing, painting, print or any art should awaken reminiscence of one's past or inquisitiveness of places and things of interest or beauty. The majesty of an eagle soaring high above mountain tops or the delicate beauty of a flower nourished by nature can inspire a feeling of knowing life is unfolding as it should.
