Description
A late night flight of two geese over winter trees with the moon dimly shining through the clouds.
Canada geese live around 10-25 years on average in the wild, although some may live to be as old as 30. One goose lived to be 40 years old in captivity.
Although we think of birds as roosting during the night, Canada geese do fly at night, especially during the migration. Although they don't have the night vision of a cat, their ability to see in the dark is 12 times greater than ours.
